Charissa Thompson

Thompson left FOX Sports in 2010 and performed double duty as the host for Versus and Yahoo Sports. Thompson was host for Versus' NHL coverage in the studio as well as produced web-based content for Yahoo's heavily-shopped platform. Thompson helmed the website's presence at major sports events like the 2010 Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup. Success in both arenas has led her to joining ESPN in August 2011, and she was promoted to host for the brand's new afternoon program "Numbers Never Lie." The show was a part of"SportsNation" in the summer of 2012 "SportsNation" organization in July 2012. The show was an enormous success and she was there until May 2013, before returning to Los Angeles to launch FS1. Thompson is a passionate athlete, and she has shown the flexibility needed to move into entertainment. After a series of part-time opportunities Thompson was appointed as co-host on a regular basis for the nightly Hollywood news magazine "Extra," in June 2014.
