Kelly Clarkson is an American musician and singer who became the national sweetheart when she won the American Idol title during the very first season of the reality show. The success not only pushed her to fame but also earned an album deal in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and 'S Records. Since then, she's put out various studio albums. Three of which reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just missed the coveted spot. She's one of the most well-known artists that are emerging from American Idol. She began experimenting with themes and songs as her success grew. Her work was praised by critics and a number of prestigious awards in recognition of her uniqueness and vocal ability. The most notable is that she was awarded her the Grammy Award three times. Apart from her music career she has been featured in films as well as television programs. She also co-wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has also been involved with several charitable organizations.
